Apparently I was shadowbanned for 2 years
This is more of a personal experience that I want to share with you guys. Ok so 2 years ago, after a lot of failure I was finally living a good dating life, having fun with many cute girls from tinder, it was great until I decided to drop it for one particularly great girl that became my girlfriend for two years. Recently we had to split up as our careers took us to places far away and I just can't do long distance, no matter how much I love the girl. The new me is very confident with girls, even outside tinder, i even began going out with a hottie from a french course I'm taking. Problem is, my circle is really small and besides that course I don't have many ways of meetings girls organically, and unless I'm in a relationship I don't like dating just one girl. For this reason I decided to download tinder again, expecting to hop back on the success I had two years ago... To my surprise I did terrible, very very few matches and the weirdest part, they wouldn't even respond. I was feeling so weird, like all of a sudden being me of something didn't seem to work, i even began doubting myself "have i somehow become unattractive despite of feeling better about myself?" I didn't understand what was going on, so I even tried making a new profile with a new number and everything, i even tried bumble, same story, no matches or likes, as if I had become ugly AF. I was about to give up, assuming that despite of feeling attractive, somehow online dating was just not working for me anymore. But I had an idea. An old phone with a new number, different network, different everything, i even searched for "Plan B" photos i discarded at some point as I considered them somewhat inferior to the ones I have always used. Turns out I got shadowbanned hard, my phone or something, even after two years of not using tinder. Before, on my shadowbanned account, after 24 hours I had only 15 likes. Now on my new profile I had 6 likes literally just in the 2 minutes it took me to write a short new bio. It's crazy. The part that confuses me the most is the lack of response I was having. Not getting matches can be the result of my profile not being shown, i get it. But getting no replies? Using the same openers and everything from back then. Does tinder lie to shadowbanned profiles and doesn't actually send the messages? So in conclusion, tinder and bumble can shadowban you real hard
