I've discovered a state of "purgatory" during the chat, where i become lost for words. After the start and before the date, and become weary of losing the good connection. The chat starts with a lot of great stuff back and forth, flirting and info exchange, sexualizing and pulling back. It goes for days. But once i reach that point of suggesting the meet up, and even though it's going well, it's as if we can no longer chat back and forth in a fun way like previously. Everything after that point seems to be logistics and seeing when is the best day, time, place. And in doing so, the "relationship" falls flat. It's lost the previous fun and it feels like a state of purgatory where it's after we met and laughed with each other, but before we've gone to heaven (the date). Is this just me or are you guys experiencing it as well? any suggestions or criticisms are welcome. joe bee

Ok this one i'm sharing just for fun! I was literally walking out the door when she tells me that she just can go through it because she met a guy a couple weeks ago, and now she feels guilty, LMAO. Keep in mind we worked up to this for a week, went through a couple soft closes and a couple hard closes. It's not until i give her my number and i'm walking to the car that i get this fucked up message (2 screen shots, one message that didn't fit on one). I just laugh to myself and say this just isn't my week. It could have been worse - she could have stood me up, could have "confessed" when we met giving me blue balls, or some other fucked up scenario i haven't thought of. my buddy steve (tall handsome surgeon, no problem getting chicks), reassures me, "keep in mind most chicks on the apps are fucking crazy". i am rest assured. and just wanted to share this late saturday night back out with you guys. i usually move the interaction along pretty well, but then blow it with the LMR. so i'm posting this thread that died and want to revive it. other times it a similar LMR situation where we arrange a date, and then a few hours before they bail, and that's the last i hear from them. in this case, the chick is a real hard case: pessimistic, and a women's libber - her profile talks about equal rights, racial justice, and her position as an "organizer". not much of a flirter or shows sense of humor. lots of angst. but she's hot, and was open to meeting me. check the text thread, and let me know what you think. it picks up where i ask her out, then she goes cold after the axe murder answer, basically. thanks. joe.
