How about you try to send her a quote from book, but I don't really think she's going to be engaged...
Try to change subject by ask something about her

She is trying to play her concerns on you for whatever reason, you should say something like "I don't know where this is coming from but I don't like it" and make a distance from her.
But if she just feels like she doesn't get much attention from you - "hey come here" and hug.
It's hard to understand what's wrong here? Since all she says is "intriguing"
What is your concern?
If you don't know what to say next try to say "I have been on "this" and "this" this day, do you think you can handle "this" like I did?
"this" == cooking, handling some conflict, repairing something.
anything that would make more connection with the person
Got it, thanks
How about "We haven't even talked yet and you already ask me to tell you what to do damn"
You should suggest something like "We can try meeting at a bar nearby and see if we both feel comfortable with each other, no expectations"
Good read my man. I still think she was concerned that you are a player and she was trying to dhv herself by trying to overplay you.
Definetely you had to watch movie with her and escalate during the session.
It's quite often girl would have LMR(last minute resistance) and the only way you win this is by making 1 step away. (in your case, you had to choose some scary-shit movie)
There one more thing you could do is to lift her up just before she gets to front door and bring her back to the room with an excuse like "we didn't finished with the movie hahahaha don't worry once we finish I help you with your work/let you go." Then pour some more wine e.t.c.
But now it's better to ask something like "Stranger-danger?"
