2nd Date Flaking
Hey guys, need some advice on this one. It's my first woman since breaking up with my ex of 10 years so I'm rusty as hell and feel like a goddamn teenager. Excuse my inexperience. Backstory: Met a bartender at a brewery on Saturday - she was really interested in me and flirting, and we met up at a bar after she got off and wound up going back to her place. We had sex (had some alcohol related ED and she was pretty dry so it didn't last long) but we did fuck for a little bit and stayed in bed joking, making out, snuggling, and playing with each other til noon Sunday. She is absolutely adamant about wanting to be more than a ONS/booty call and that she's into me but we were drinking so in the back of my head I thought it could be drunktalk. We banter a bit Sunday night through text and she says she wants me to smack her ass again. I try to make plans for another night since she seems interested but she disappears when I mention a time. Monday night I text her "Thinking real hard I see..." and an hour later she texts back about how she hit her head and was feeling wonky. I ask how she is, we banter a bit, recall some funny things that happened during our fucknight - she says "thank you for a fun night" and I say "Not sure if it was the booze talking, but I'd like to see you again if you're interested" to where she replies "me too! we need more time to see if we detest each other ;)" I confirm a date for Wednesday to go to her house but again she disappears when I mention a time. We don't talk at all on Tuesday and so far she has not once initiated, but she was responsive to my texts so maybe she just sucks at initiating. So today I want to get date confirmation, so I send her a photo of a red wine bottle I saw called Il Bastardo with a funny picture and say "Hey I found your favorite wine" hoping she would respond and I cold move towards details but...nothing at all from her. It's been like 6 hours So here I am with a scheduled date but zero confirmation. I obviously don't want to say anything butthurt or needy, but her absence seems...odd. Since I'm in my late 30's and she's 27, I know I need to project confidence and coolness and I think I've done that through text so far, but the ghosting just seems really bizarre and not in-line with her actions on Saturday and her texts. What's my next move? I was thinking of texting "more of a white wine fan I guess?" tonight but my head's all clouded and I don't know how to interpret her actions. Only 2 days ago I gave her an out but she said she was interested. Thanks UPDATE: I didn't send anything since the initial photo and she just texted "haha you bastard!! I might have to raincheck you tonight :(" This is the 2nd time she flaked on a night so I kind of want to call her out a bit
