We made plans to go out for dinner on Thursday and she always answered and invested. What takeaway can I use here? Or do I just wait till the date is closer and ask if we’re still on?
I can't see where you asked her out is it before those screenshots?
(My opinion) Too much of a friendly conversation, Setting a date a week later is too far hence harder to keep warm, someone had to stop texting. I'd ping her (send a related image/gif) halfway (3-4 days) tell her looking forward to date then before the date day ask here if she (picked out something cute for tommorow)
i posted screenshots of texts when I asked her out originally in the comment under yours
Check Jadon's posts here, he has one on instagram which I think could help you with the vibe you need when messaging girls outside of dating apps (assuming you aren't doing this on a dating app). You're asking a lot of questions and being friendly without teasing and being clear about your date. Your questions are good if its in an actual date but not over text since you'll end up the cute nice guy messaging friend to her. I won't get my hopes high on this. Just ask her before the date day if she picked out something cute for tomorrow and see how it goes.
1000% too friendly. Not to mention u didnt explicitly say date. U just said show her around the city. Shouldve called it a romantic tour of the city. Maybe joke about how u can share a kiss under the brooklyn bridge.
Here is the texts when I asked her out originally. She did know was a date for sure
U just said "get to know each other over dinner". No mention of romance, flirting, love, or it being a date. Make it clear, next time be like "lets kick start our fairy tale love story w a romantic dinner" or something.
Why are you even doing dinner dates? U live in NYC, theres like a million parks/lookout spots u could take them to. A picnic on one of the big lawns in central park would be great too. U could even just walk around the city!
"Don't think too hard now"
