U just said "get to know each other over dinner". No mention of romance, flirting, love, or it being a date. Make it clear, next time be like "lets kick start our fairy tale love story w a romantic dinner" or something.
Why are you even doing dinner dates? U live in NYC, theres like a million parks/lookout spots u could take them to. A picnic on one of the big lawns in central park would be great too. U could even just walk around the city!
we also did somewhat make plans after to watch a movie, she was telling me she love horror movies and said we should watch one so i thought after the dinner would come over to cuddle to a scary movie
