Hey guys, Looking for some quick advice from anyone who has dealt with Bumble support or account bans before. Long story short: my Bumble account got banned recently, and I submitted a request to get my personal data / appeal the ban. A support supervisor emailed me back saying they need a photo of me holding my government ID next to my face to verify my identity before processing the request and reviewing my account. Here’s the catch: on this banned account, I used a fake birthdate that’s 5 years younger than my actual age. Now I'm trying to figure out the best move forward and wanted to see what you all think: Option A: Send them my actual ID and selfie anyway. Will their support just see the birthdate mismatch and immediately lock the ban permanently for "inauthentic profile/age misrepresentation"? Option B: Cut my losses on that account, make a brand new account using my real age and real identity, and if/when that gets flagged or banned, reach out to support and submit my ID then? Option C: Try to log into or recover an old, inactive Bumble account I made years ago that actually had my real birthdate on it? Option D: Is there a risk that their automated face verification / biometric system will cross-reference my selfie/ID against past banned accounts, link all my previous attempts together, and permanently ban my real legal identity across all profiles anyway? Has anyone tried sending an ID with a different birthdate than what was on their profile, or had experience with their facial recognition linking old accounts? Did support actually work with you, or did it just seal the deal on a permanent ban? Appreciate any thoughts or past experiences!

I set up a brand new Hinge account 3 days ago on a completely clean device/setup. Because I didn't want to burn my best, high-value photos in case of a random automated flag or instant ban (wanted to make sure my digital footprint was completely clear first), I purposely threw up some "subpar" photos. Basically, a sacrificial profile to test the waters. Fast forward 72 hours: the account is running totally fine, fully operational, and verified. Now that I'm in the clear, I want to deploy my actual A-tier photos. I’m debating the best way to do this without messing up my algorithmic standing. Which of these two options makes the most sense? Option A: Just swap the photos directly on this account. The Pros: Zero ban risk. It's safe, and I don't have to deal with resetting. The Cons: My initial swipe-to-match ratio on these "test" photos might have set a low baseline "desirability" score (or "Elo" equivalent). Will updating the photos immediately force the algorithm to recalibrate my pool, or will I be fighting an uphill battle to climb up the stack? Option B: Delete and recreate the account right now with the good photos. The Pros: I get to capitalize on the genuine "new user boost" (the high-priority visibility Hinge gives fresh profiles) with my absolute best assets on day one. The Cons: Is deleting and recreating a brand new account after just 2 days going to trigger Hinge's automated spam/reset protection filters and get me shadowbanned or flagged? Has anyone tested the actual recovery rate of just swapping photos vs. doing a quick 48-hour reset? What’s the play here? Or should I just try the Hinge's "fresh start" feature? Does that "fresh start" on the same account feature give me another new user boost?
I was banned on Hinge and Bumble multiple times. I already know the common methods people have mentioned about (new pics, number, email, etc.). But I still have the following questions, anyone can share their experience here? 1\. They now mandate face scan verification. When they ban you do they store your face scan data to prevent you from creating new accounts? I have multiple friends who successfully got verified multiple times after they were banned multiple times. Someone told me the government regulations don't allow apps to store your face scan data, so that data is deleted right after verification. But Google said they still store face scan data for banned users for "security reasons". Which one is true? 2\. I got banned again on Hinge last night during fresh account set up probably due to bad lighting. I just got a new number again and new pics, is it recommended to recreate another new account again or I should wait for a period of time since it's only been 24 hours since my last account was banned and they might still have my face scan data? 3\. When it comes to bypassing bans is factory reset sufficient or do we need brand new device? (I've heard from Apple saying apps don't have access to device id) 4\. Android vs Apple which device is better?
