Liked a girl's photo on hinge with following message:
Me: Hey, can I be honest?
Her: Haha yes
Me: You look like the perfect mix between fun and trouble
Her: I have to agree with you on that
Me: Good. Was hoping that you were
Hasn't replied in over a day. Do I re-engage? How do I re-engage?
The reason for my last message is because I've seen it being used in this scenario before. However, looking back, I'm not sure it was the best response.
Any suggestions welcome.
It's not her fault for not replying. What reply were you expecting to that? Put yourself in her shoes, can you think of 3 things to write back? 1 thing? More like 0 things. And there you go.
You need to add something into the conversation here if you want it to continue. "Hope I didn't make you shy" or "If you're shy I'd understand" or "Don't think too hard" are not for this. They don't add anything. They're for when you've asked something (e.g. when are you free, do you like wine) and you want the conversation to stay RIGHT HERE until you get an answer.
Re-engaging? "tell me the basics ..." or anything along that line. "I'll be the judge of that though... funnest thing you did in January?"
If its been over a day since you last texted her, I would just re-engage with "Hope I didn't make you shy"
