She said she isn't a fan of opening lines but i didn't know how go start the conversation otherwise so i kind of backtracked at the end and thats what probably fucked it up.
What should I've done differently and how could i set the conversation?
When cold DMing a girl you don't know on Instagram it's much easier to keep it simple. "Hey 'insert name'. I like your style👌🏼" this has worked 90% of the time for me and will at the very least get a response. Opening with "can I be honest with you" on a cold DM is a bit strange compared to dating apps.
The 2nd response, you made it clear you know she doesn't like it... then proceeded to do it anyway lol.
3rd response, she's not into you or doesn't find you attractive and this is her way of being nice. You proceeded to sound butthurt and went on to over-explain/qualify.
