She has a point. Why would you text her at 4 am?
I think the issue is you went for the soft close too quickly. She's a very attractive girl and she knows it, so she has countless guys matching with her. Trying to soft close ("Me: Sounds good, I accept the challenge.") without any small talk, humor, banter or sexualization won't work because she has built no investment into you. Therefore, you won't standout from the other competition. That's also why she's waiting a month to respond to you.
Her last response ("Maria: Too Nervous? Who wakes up early to send a message?") is a shit test, so you have a chance to slightly redeem yourself and revive the convo if you respond right.
Long story short, I don't think the conversation is awkward or you've lost your chance. I just think you need to build more investment from her. Best of luck 🤞
