So lately I came across this video on the Playing Fire YouTube channel about whether or not "Game" is real... to be dead honest I still have no idea what the Game really is and how it even works. I'd appreciate if someone could elaborate and refer me to some sources so I can know what it really is in the first place

I think you misunderstood bro, he wasn't discussing "The Game" but GAME in general. The real question he was asking was "Is learning techniques to get women attracted effective?".
In that sense, the answer is YES. It DOES work.

Just like in any other area of your life, read books, watch videos and try the material you're learning.
I advise you to learn from DavidDeAngelo, Corey Wayne and Richard LaRuina. They teach you the fundamentals of dating and pickup but also go deeper into the advanced techniques if you'd like to get really tight game.
I wouldn't advise you to begin with PUAs like Mystery or Neil Strauss since PU stuff I think is too advanced for most beginners and isn't that good to keep girls around after you get them. Get the understanding of female attraction psychology and inner game down and THEN work on the outer game and more advanced techniques.
