Hi, I had a Tinder match that was DTF. With better game I might have been able to get her over. Any advice on what I should have done is appreciated.

The big issue here is logistics. Long Island is quite far from Midtown. Even if you had perfect text game she still might not have wanted to make the drive. In addition, you don't even know if she has a car or would have to take public transport. The one mistake you made with your texting was bringing up her fishnets when the conversation was in logistical phase. At that point, you just want to focus on logistics and not derail the conversation.
