Profile Picture Review ? Bad pictures actually performing well?

Hello,

I’ve been using some pictures I took 2-3 years ago on my profile, and they have consistently gotten me a great number of matches. Recently, I decided to add a couple more pictures to reflect my current look. The first four pictures are the ones taken 2-3 years ago, and the last two are the more recent ones.

Surprisingly, the older pictures, which don’t seem that great to me, still perform very well. I’m curious why these pictures are so successful despite not appearing particularly impressive. I wonder if I could improve my profile’s performance even more by changing to better pictures. This experience makes me question what makes a picture great for a profile. Could you provide some advice on what would make a picture truly great for my profile?
