So my favorite opener is "Well I'm the one! You can go ahead and leave (app) now ;)". So usually they respond something like "Oh is that so" or "Haha is that so". I'll typically respond with "It sure is" or "Better believe it😏". Recently though the conversation has been stopping there more often than usual. I know women flake a lot on apps regardless of what you say sometimes, but any advice on maybe a better way to address their initial response? I feel like if i can come up with a better response to the "is that so" that draws them in more it'd be better, because I feel like what I go with now isn't helping the conversation move forward. I definitely dont want to overstep and dive in too much, don't want to take a mile when they give me an inch, but I feel like there's a better way to respond that gives them more incentive to respond.
Here's the problem with that opener. It sets you up in a frame where you have to qualify yourself to the girl when you get the inevitable "is that so?", which is the opposite of what frame you want to be in. And then if you simply refuse to qualify yourself with "It sure is" or "better believe it", you have failed the shit test by being unable to back up your bold claim you started the conversation with.
One thing you might want to try is to reply to "is that so" with something like "ok I lied😏. You just seemed like my type" or something more playful.

Maybe try something along the lines of “yes I’ve got our romantic date all planned out” always try to escalate forward

personally dont like canned openers at all. I can see why this one stalls out, even though i think it's pretty clever
