Hello all, I'm Gib, 36, living in Hollywood, just signed up for the course yesterday and I'm already learning.
I've just finished working with a life/relationship coach for four months and my confidence is the best it's been in my life, but I could use some practical/actionable advice and that's what I'm hoping to get with PWF. I'm also in recovery so I don't go to bars/clubs as much as I used to, and the women I meet in AA are often pretty traumatized and not high-quality. I'm getting more confident and practiced at approaching women IRL too, but want to get better at getting numbers and building attraction.
I get almost zero matches on online dating, with anyone, ever. I think my profiles are so old and have gone through long periods of inactivity (not the "taking a break" setting, just not logging in) that they've been pushed to the bottom of the stack. So I'm creating new accounts.
I'd be down for some vicious feedback on my photos. I'm doing a lot of fitness and I'll take new ones when I can but these are what I've got for now.
I would reccomend three things. Smile less in your pictures, don't look at the camera, and get action shots.
Smiling makes you look nervous or new to an experience.
Looking at the camera breaks the fourth wall, it's no longer you cooking or at a half marathon or scuba diving, it's now you getting your picture taken. Especially the ones of you standing and posing.
It's better to get images of you doing the thing as opposed to before or after. Instead of holding your race number, where is the photo of the finish? Instead of sitting in the boat scuba diving, you could be under the water, or getting out/in the water. Instead of washing your hands in the kitchen sink you could flip a pancake or get some oil to flash in the pan.
Doing these things makes your perceived life more cinematic, and therefore more appealing to women.
Unfortunately, i'm gonna have to address the elephant in the room. You definitely need to lose some belly fat. The tattoo-ed arm is great but because of the belly fat, your clothes don't fit well at all. You'd also have to try getting pics done in a suit or a jacket. Multilayered clothing to quick fix the belly. Or, it will be difficult to get matches
Thanks, I was like 30 lbs heavier a year ago but have been slacking, I needed to hear that.
