Ok, a couple of things here.
Your second text didn't really make sense. You kind of went halfway on the "I'm sure we can both find time" and then chose to end the text off by trying to figure out her logistics when she just said she was busy. You have to address one thing at a time in this case. The right move would have been to say something like "We're both busy people but I'm sure we could find some time if we really wanted too" or you try to understand why exactly she's so busy, something like "You work a lot?" and then transition into finding a solution, ie: if she says she works all week, suggest weekends, etc.
Your last text also wasn't ideal because it looks to me like you're just using the lines without actually understanding the meaning and timing. Basically, you're also giving up frame control here because you're buying into the whole 'you have to wait for me to not be busy and not have any better options' - the right move would have been at this point to just like her message and rengage in a couple of days, vibe a little and then try to understand her schedule a little more in-depth to set a date.
Right now, you're in a bit of an awkward situation so I would say something like "just a joke;)" or something similar to play it off and then do what I said right above which is wait a bit, rengage and try to understand her situation a little better.
Hope this wasn't too harsh, goodluck bro!!
It's not usually a good idea to let the air out of a message with "just a joke" or "haha kidding" etc. Even if the message was a mistake! He needs to hold the line :)
"I know you have a huge crush on me"
I don't think this is a blanket statement because there are times when you legitimately need to play it off if she doesn't pick up on it but you're totally right in this case Max. Continuing here shows that you're confident and playful, even when she doesn't play along.
