Keeping the convo going when Setting a date for next week

That’s something i was curious for in a while. I’ve had few instances when i’d set a date a week in advance and it almost always falls apart. To be fair I don’t keep the conversation going as much, but do i even have to? How do you guys approach this situation. Also if Alex can do a video about this topic it would be freaking awesome cus this has been a reoccurring problem for many of us
