First, it was a very harmless joke. So, I wouldn't even bother. If it's a constant pattern of disrespect, I would talk to him after he's done hosting. I'd confront him and just tell
"Hey man. I know it's your job as a host to crack jokes. But, leave my wife out of it. She has a medical condition" and that's it. Any normal dude will not push anymore
In a way that doesn't make you legally liable, that's for sure.
