Planning for another date. She is giving options and moving things forward but drops this along with confirmation “i won’t stay too long cause i dont wanna leave my dog alone, left him all alone for hours earlier this week too and felt bad”
Is this a geniune concern? I mean she leaves the dog alone when she goes to work and seeing other friends
How do I respond to this?
I’m thinking on the lines - dw i will bring treats and come by to say hi to your dog
Agree, empathise, or send a witty response. I’d send “Bad dog mom- this calls for a deduction in brownie points”. This way you disqualify her a bit playfully and don’t care if she stays or leaves early. In short; girls say one thing and do something else.
It's certainly not a genuine concern. People leave their dogs alone all the time and there's no way she would cut a date short just to go socialize with her dog.
Perhaps she's giving herself an excuse or an "easy out" if she wants to leave early for whatever reason. Your response is good, keeping it lighthearted and semi-joking.
Yup. But don't worry about it too much. In the moment, she will stay longer. "Sounds good. I only have time for a couple hours anyway"
thanks man! makes sense
