This one is different. This isn’t a girl I matched with before on an app. I knew this girl from about a few years ago, she worked at the same retail store I worked at back when I was living in La. When it came to confirming she asked “So do you have idea of what you would like to do tonight?” & the fact that she mentioned “..have limited clothes lol def nothing fancy lol” I didn’t feel the need to sexualize or anything since logistics was the only remaining step left for that night. Fast forward she ends up showing up 1hr 30 min late since she was waiting on her friend to get home to give her the keys to her friends place she was at so I knew we’d be meeting right around 11pm so I felt it was gonna go down.

I usually escalate much sooner but my calibration felt like she wasn’t ready, & then I start to feel like this is a lost cause. Their were several times I would move in closer, the pull away back.

Then at one point, she starts telling me it starts heading down relationship route & about how she hasn’t had the best luck with guys. I asked her what her love language was & then a bit later asked her what her biggest turn on was. She told me no one had ever asked her that before & that she was genuinely frustrated that she didn’t know the answer or couldn’t answer (So she told me) She then told me that she wasn’t expecting these “kind of questions” She then tells me that she’s going to have one more glass before having to leave because she has to be up early in the morning on Monday for something.

So she sits down & she starts to somewhat open up with her body language. At one point I do find an opening closer to her & we’re pretty close. Go in for the make-out & we start making out & then she stops & says that she can’t get ahead of herself. She even at one point told me that I made her feel intimidated, nervous, & laugh for no reason. I tried drawing out her concerns but couldn’t get an answer

So she ends up telling me that she’s not sure if it’s being in the hotel or what it is or that maybe she has been hanging out with too many cats that day that made her react so weird. She told me that she was just expecting we were gonna chill & talk & not like a “date”? & Then she told me that she felt she disappointed me?

Idk but somehow we end up making plans to spend more time together the next day since she couldn’t answer my questions & felt like she was in her head too much & that maybe it’d be better if I came to hers. I give her a light hug & no kiss (Their was no opening to) & she left out my door

At this point it seems like a lost cause & she just wanted to get out of the situation but she texted me a photo right after of a painting & a caption that said “Me right now” & Then if you go through the screenshots its her & I talking & her expressing how she feels “embarrassed” “awkward” about what happened.

Went to go confirm the next morning & then she started backpedaling. So what happened here?
