Facebook messenger "sent but not delivered" keeps cockblocking me. How should I re initiate?

Jumped in the DMs of a hot latina girl just my type. I pasted a meme I found on her timeline to initiate the convo and she replied pretty promptly. I believe shes at least somewhat interested but messenger is crap and sometimes doesnt deliver messages to people you dont converse with regularly until hours later. Now I need to double text to reinitiate. Whats the best way to go about this?
