Hey guys, I have a solid 4 minute interaction with this girl and we sent a few texts back and forth before I threw out the general idea of meeting up. It hasn’t been too long yet obviously but she hasn’t replied yet. Should I have sent a few more messages back and forth first? I’ll attached the screen shots of our interaction.
Probs just a bit harsh. You probably need a better reason to meet her than to talk about a consulting job
Yep. That was out of the blue. You should have gone the soft close route before hardclosing her. Something like
"I knew I chatted with an airpods savior. Any other super powers?"
And then lead toward
"You can show me these super powers over a drink sometime soon"
And only then the hardclose
Do you think this one is salvageable? Haha
"If that's cool"
I like the banter back and forth and this girl seems very invested. It wasn't about the timing just possibly the manner; I would have said something like "Haha love it, I do different types, why don't I tell you about it over a drink?" It's essentially the same but worded differently to make it a little more playful and less interview style. Since her investment was so high, I don't think it was a mistake to go for the soft close.
I would just send her a takeaway in a couple of days, something like "If you're into that sort of thing.." or "It's not a trick question I swear;)"
Hope this helps bro!
She said this the next day so I tried to get a vague idea of her schedule when I hit her up again but she hasn’t replied since Friday. This probably doesn’t bode too well for me currently. But should I just hit her later this week again or wait it out?
