A month and a half ago I started working in a medical office. During the evening peak hours, I met a super cute Jewish girl. Sense of humor, quick with a comeback, expressive, and annoying in a lot of the right ways.
Aside from the ethical obstacle of, "keeping relationships with patients professional." Which I've tried to work around and was cockblocked by a doctor on staff. After scheduling her for an appointment, it turns out she's 20, where I'm 29 going on 30 this year.
Up to this point, the impression was that she's 26. Can't remember if she told me or if this was assumed. But it's put me in a weird head space about age. Because we've all seen or heard of older guys dating younger girls. It can come across as creepy. Depending on the age gap and other contextual points. Aside from that. My own impression of her started to change. Such as how mature she is vs. someone around my age and so on.
Not sure how to feel about the situation. What are your thoughts on dating younger women.
I think dating younger women is totally fine (within reason) and the age gap here is not that significant. The job thing is a different story though. How much do you care about this job?
The job is only a placeholder until something better. Which could be replaced in short order. If 10 years or so is reasonable. Then what's considered unreasonable. Never gave it much thought until now.
If that’s the case, then just flirt with her in person and try to exchange numbers and ig, under a bit of a pretense. Like don’t be too direct if it’s an office setting
If you were 50 and she was 20, that would be significant
