So I've just started getting back in the gym after taking two weeks off. I was going everyday consistently I'd say for almost 2-3 weeks but then caught Covid and my health was just plummeting. I'm now getting back into the groove of things and getting back in the gym.
I'm friends with Joey, Brett, & Erik and all of them with the exception of Erik have encouraged me to hop on SARMs. Since they're on them themselves. Erik thinks I should just max out my newbie gains first but my other two friends don't see the difference between just starting with PEDs as a part of my foundation.
I worked out with one trainer at my gym out here who was a Marine and turned out to be super flakey and he said he could see me taking 3-4 months to reach my short-term goal of looking like Tom Holland, guy in the photo I'm including above. Another guy who was jacked and had been on Tren said an entire year. Which is nuts as I'm not a complete fat piece of shit. I'm at 17% body fat and weigh in at 145 right now. I also have a goal of wanting to do Magic Mike shows. I made friends with a guy who use to tour with Chippendales and he's been cool about mentoring me and helping me out but is sort of limited to his help due to his job and having a kid. He settled down.
All in all what are your thoughts on hoping on hoping on PEDs if any and which for me vs not. I personally don't give a shit but taking a whole year I'm just like fuck that.
Really feel your COVID story. I've been working out for the last few months, and I really don't want to catch it because--among other things--it'll really set me back on my fitness goals.
That said, I'm the same size as Tom Holland so, coincidentally, he's also my #goals. I'm 38, and when I was in college, I was about the same as him. He was 140lbs for the first Spider-Man, I believe, and I was 145lbs. Last year, I was about 160lbs and was definitely getting dad bod vibes. Nine months later, I can say that my workouts have been pretty consistent, but my diet has not been, but even so, I'm at about 165 now, but much leaner. My stomach is now flatter, my pant waistline has loosened, but my trailered shirts are now too tight around the shoulders and arms (I especially feel it when I roll up the sleeves).
So at this rate, if I cut a little more, without loosing too much muscle (hard, at my age), I think I'll get there in a few more months. I believe Tom Holland is also at about 160lbs. So, yeah, I think the 1 year estimate seems accurate.
Granted, I've not gone to gym at all. I started working out at home with my bodyweight and eventually incorporated barbells (and steadily increased the weight), and have only recently started incorporated deadlifts. Diet wise, I have not deprived myself of the occasional pizza, burger, or pastry, but I eat really clean 90% of the time. So if your diet is stricter, and you have access to more efficient workouts and equipment, could be faster.
On the topic of PEDs: I don't think the side effects are worth it for me. Even if only as minor as possible acne. But it all comes down to genetics. If your testosterone is exceptionally low or body composition isn't ideal, it could help you where you'd otherwise struggle. As for me, patience, consistency, and dedication has gone a long way; even at 38. I think my genetics are pretty good though. Most people think I look like I could be in my late 20s or early 30s. YMMV, but good luck, brother.
Interestingly enough, I’m hitting the gym again, with a goal to go really hard and actually seek results. My goal is to be shredded for summer music festivals next year. Unfortunately I had an eye infection from contact lenses which led to a bad fever for a few days, feeling pretty bad today but ok enough to work. Sickness sucks and really throws a monkey wrench into your workout routine
Thank you for sharing
You didn’t anwser my question lol
Lol dude. It takes time to put on muscle. If it was easy, everyone would be jacked. yeah 3-4 months is probably not even realistic. A year is probably closer to the mark. If you do wanna try PED's, TRT would be a good starting point. 150-200 mg a week. You could also d IGF1LR3 Or CJC/IPA. Those are peptides and will not have a negative effect long term. If you wanna go 1 step further, you wanna get on HGH. but, I would definitely not recommend hardcore steroids for you. And neither would 98% of the body building community. Things like deca or anavar are for experienced lifters generally speaking.
