for residency she was trying to say that she moves around a lot so her MAIN place of stay was in Texas. This is very annoying because she thinks its so obvious so its almost like a trap to make you look silly in her eyes. But thats ok, silly is cool (which would have been a way better like than odd > boring). Saying silly is cool instead would get her thinking about you in a more playful less intimidated lens. She's gonna think you're intimidated if she thinks you're acting weird especially since she only thought you were acting weird out of the blue.
If you double text say something like this

Yeah that is kinda odd. Id rather imagine you naked (balsy and you might not vibe with this one but her being a gym girl and her going over your head is what you should be doing)
