I agree with Herb, you had it in the bag and she told you what she wanted to do. Also depending on how she read the first line of the message, it could’ve come off as defensive.
Seems strange that it was her birthday. Girls take those so serious and I'm surprised if she would have actually been down to meet up 1-on-1 with a guy she hardly knows.
