Context: we hang out once, got ice cream at a spot called Andy’s, she wasn’t really making any romantic moves but committed to this date after once before saying she never wanted to hang w me one on one. After she said “that’s actually my only joke” I said “dw, I’ll teach you a few more on our next romantic trip to Andy’s” and then had to use that takeaway. I WOULD just say “when did I say we’d do anything romantic” to reframe it and get her to question her assumption, but I did say “a romantic trip” so I’m seeing there’s some kinda underlying concern I just don’t know how to address it here @avilench .
Yea man you got friendzoned. When you dont escalate thats what happens. This is why i always say you should try to close on the first date. Really there's no saving it now
I had considered either leading with “lol do you hate romance or something ” or leading with “when exactly did I say I was looking for anything romantic” and then when she likely called out the “romantic ice cream trip” line I used last, then I would transition into “lol do you hate romance or something.” Or maybe just answer with a simple: no expectations on my end/what exactly are your concerns
