I will never use what do you do for fun over text ever again. Fucked me over everytime. Not the end of the world but almost a guaranteed reingagement

I can see why now, also struggling and don't know what to reply, was thinking maybe a joke would salvage e.g.:"I was expecting you to say that you fight lions or skydive, but that's cool too"
or maybe a response like, "sounds like you keep your life interesting. I like that" would be better
