The mustang joke is good. I think the "what are you doing?" "...looking for something to do" is a little general and shows you might not have a lot going on. I would instead go with "do you like ____?" Sushi, or wine, or whatever you want. Then when she complies, suggest she joins you for it, as if she's fitting into your plans.
